Top 5 Outdoor Wedding Tips
Saying “I do” with the Colorado Mountains in the background is one of the quintessential parts of an outdoor wedding ceremony. Many couples are opting for outdoor ceremonies to take advantage of our 300 days of sunshine and the photo opportunities in front of one of our many scenic backdrops.
Here are Benson Tent Rent’s top outdoor wedding tips for a successful ceremony.

Tip 1. Tented Ceremony
As beautiful as our weather is here in Colorado, it’s often unpredictable. It’s important to have a plan B if the clouds roll in. You and your guests don’t want to be caught in the rain while you are exchanging “I do’s” for 30 minutes. Don’t worry, you don’t have to lose that beautiful backdrop! Opt for a Clear Top Tent to keep you and your guests dry while still enjoying the view.

Tip 2. Custom Water Bottles
Greet your guests with custom labeled water bottles or even better provide your guests with a reusable water bottle that they can enjoy for years to come. We love the idea of giving the wedding favor at the beginning of the wedding. We have all seen the table of favors left full because guests forgot to grab it on their way out at the end of the evening.

Tip 3. Padded Chairs
Depending on the length of your ceremony, your guests can expect to be sitting anywhere between 45 minutes to over an hour. Make sure your friends and family are comfortable and opt for seat cushions or padded folding chairs.
Tip 4. Custom Details
Think of ways to personalize your ceremony. You could write your own vows, incorporate readings or music that’s meaningful to both of you, or create a unique seating arrangement with the ceremony in the center and the chairs encircling you.

Tip 5. Ceremony Acoustics
The ceremony is why your friends and family came together so make sure they can hear you say I do. It’s important to think about ambient noise and adjust your sound system accordingly. A lapel microphone on your officiant is a great way to make sure your guests can hear them and you. If you have a DJ, they will typically bring the necessary sound equipment, but if you are running your own music think about renting a P.A. System.
